For more than twenty years Nur Satriatama has written the songs, scored the commercials and led the bands behind a good part of Indonesian pop.
He is the songwriter of Alexa, the founder of Riverbrick Studio and of the eight-piece band SATS, and the producer artists call when a record needs both a hook and a plan. His studio has scored more than a thousand television commercials, for houses from Dior to Toyota. He teaches music production and music business at Atma Jaya, Universitas Indonesia and IKJ, and wrote Belajar Realita Industri, a plain-spoken guide to contracts, royalties and algorithms for working musicians.
